The Rea Project, Belfast

A stone’s throw from the sea, up a leafy street in Cultra, is a new build sure to stop you in your tracks on your Sunday amble. Designed by Des Ewing Architects and built by Alskea contracts, this collaboration of efforts has resulted in a wonderfully unique and considered space.

Coming to Studio—Terry, the clients had a strong interest in Japanese and Scandinavian design. A black kitchen wasn’t initially on the cards, but we think the risk certainly paid off. While the space has a minimal colour palette and dramatic visual lines, the depth of materiality combined with the quality of light in the space brings through a stunning softness and warmth.
